Frequently Asked Questions
Why PAINT! at MIDTOWN?
What kinds of parties do you do?
• Birthday parties (Adults and Kids ages 7 & and older)
How do I sign up for my party? Signing up is easy. Email us at [email protected] or call 214-244-9449. We'll choose a date that works for you!
When are classes held? Classes are usually held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. We can hold classes at other times during the week as well as on Saturday & Sunday afternoons – just ask!
What does a class cost? 2 Hour Classes - $35 per painter
3 Hour Classes - $45 per painter
Cost includes all your supplies.
What time should I arrive? We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before class starts to allow set up and mingle time before the painting starts.
Should I tip my teacher? How much? If you enjoyed your class, you can show your appreciation by tipping your teacher. There is no obligation, of course, but most folks like to leave 10-20% of the class cost.
What is your cancellation policy? PAINT! at MIDTOWN's cancellation policy is as follows:
A minimum of one week's notice is required to reschedule. Otherwise we retain the deposit.
What do I need to bring to a class? We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. All you need to bring are any drinks, ice and/or appetizers you might want during the class. We provide cups, corkscrews, and ice buckets plus we have plates, napkins, and plastic ware on hand if needed.
I've never painted before - will I be able to finish the painting? Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the painting process and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your piece by the end of class. Acrylic paint dries quickly, making "mistakes" easy to fix.
What should I wear? You can come dressed casually or you can dress up! We will provide you with an apron but people can become quite enthused with creating art, so consider wearing something you can get paint on.
Can I bring something other than wine? How can I keep the wine chilled? You can bring wine, beer, or liquor to PAINT! at MIDTOWN. There will be a cooler to put white wine in during the class. We do expect all painters to be responsible with alcohol on and off the premises.
Is there an age limit for regular classes? Yes, our paint parties are BYOB art entertainment. Public classes have the following requirements:
-13 to 17 years old with an adult
-18 years old and up
Painters need to be 21 to consume alcoholic beverages on the premises.
We also do parties for children as young as 8 years old. Just ask!
Can we bring food? Yes, feel free to bring in snacks.
Do you book private parties? That's our specialty! In fact, nearly all of our parties are private parties! We can accommodate up to 20 people or more, with advance notice.
Will my painting be dry by the end of the night? Yes, we have hair dryers on hand for you to use to make sure your piece is dry before you leave.
